New Forest Run
On 12 May at M3 Southbound Services Mike and Lynda (TR6), Andy (TR4A), Tim and Avis (TR4A), Paul Funnel (TR3) plus Kevin and Pat in their street car met for the New Forest run. We set off for Ringwood Lorry Park at 0830 with soft tops down on a sunny morning to meet up with many different models of Triumphs all lined up to participate in the Wessex and New Forest Run organised by the Triumph Sports Six Club. Also having run separately we met up with Linda and David, James and Trish so there was a good WFTR turnout for the event. We were all issued with a rally plate and Tulip style navigation road book by the very efficient and welcoming organisers. We were then waved off at one minute intervals for a most superb run through the beautiful New Forest using many minor roads in beautiful sunny weather conditions (a tad cool in the breeze/slipstream though). Latterly on the run we transited out across more open and varied countryside of Wessex to our destination at the Bovington Tank Museum. Discounted tickets had been issued and some visited the excellent museum after a very pleasant picnic lunch.
