Back in September 63 Cliff Richards and The Shadows became the first British Rock group to perform in Israel. I’m sure you all remember that momentous occasion. Almost as momentous as the things WFTR members have been doing during this long hot summer.
Tangmere Military Aviation Museum
A bunch of cars with drivers and passengers all set off from Farnham in a sort of convoy which lasted about 5 minutes, but took an hour overall. Most of the cars arrived safely at Tangmere for what turned out to be a really fascinating museum. We all went to lunch afterwards which topped off a really nice day out.
Phyllis Tuckwell’s Motor Show
Charity event hosted by Tanya and Robert Lewis at their private collection in Churt near Farnham. A very hot but most enjoyable day with hundreds of conventional and modern classic cars plus a good number of vintage.

Great British Car Show
A TR Register event with a number of WFTR members taking part over the long weekend. An excellent car show, well worth the visit even without a TR.
Relaxed Run to Stockbridge
An exploration of new roads around Hampshire on an 85 mile run with a coffee stop at the Waitrose farm shop, Longstock near Stockbridge. Great fun had by all except for one breakdown which had to be recovered and is now fixed.

The Cream Tea Run – 8 Sep
One of the longest standing WFTR events, it’s been going for 11 years and even managed to keep going through lockdown. Places are fast running out so get your name down.

Long Weekend in South Wales – 13 – 16 Sep
What looks to be a fun packed and full on weekend organised by Barry and Jenny with 13 of us all planning to ymarfer siarad cymraeg.
Too late to register for this trip but there are still places at Llanerchindda Farm in 2025.
Stock Car Racing – 29 Sep
An exciting mix of racing at the Aldershot Raceway. Everyone who went in 2023 had a great time. Top tip: take a cushion!
Autumn Leaves Run & Lunch – 19 Oct
A Saturday run of Approximately 50 miles finishing at The Dew Drop Inn.

Christmas Lunch – 14 Dec
We have made a hefty deposit as agreed by all at the AGM. Please register if you plan to attend (payment not required).
There are now 32 people registered so the event is safe. A few more won’t go amiss.
