Club Night

The October WFTR club night will be at The Foresters Arms, 173 London Road, Bagshot, GU19 5DH, on 03 October from 7:30 p.m. There will be a novel and very interesting restoration video to be shown as well as some clips from our Kempton pumping Station visit.

Event Report

Unusually there have been no Group events of note in September. We hope to catch up over the next 3 months as per below.

However the following car was seen driving down Alton high Street on an event there…………..who is that?

09 Dec – Christmas lunch and AGM where we have booked the Meade Hall at the Crown and Cushion near Blackwater. For registration see https://wftr.co.uk/event/christmas-lunch-agm-3/. We hope you will register as early as convenient to assist with planning for the day. We now have 21 signed up and hope you will consider adding your names to the list so we can move ahead with detailed planning.

Membership

We have received a membership update from the TR Register as of 31 August this year. This shows the following changes:

TR Register Notice

Derbyshire Dales Group are holding a group weekend event on 21 – 23 June 2024 at Makeney Hall, Milford, Belper, Derbyshire, DE560RS. All are welcome. For more detail contact me.

WFTR Planning for 2024

Barry Green will be bringing forms to club night to facilitate gathering event suggestions/organising for 2024. The to enable us to start thinking now about what sort of events you would like for 2024. As a suggestion it could work if more that one member planned an event eg. One member organises the route, another organises hotel etc.

Summary

The nights are closing in and the temperatures are falling away. Let us make full use of our TR’s before the weather prevents us from wanting to take them out on salty roads. Happy TR’ing.
