Event Report
Eight WFTR explorers in four TR’s and a Toyota left Hartley Wintney en route for Revington TR, pausing for a very nice lunch at the Bere Cider Company. After a very enjoyable and informative tour of Revington they headed for Glastonbury to stock up on all things spiritual. Finally arriving at their hotel in Ditcheat in time for dinner where they were joined by Neil and Sue Revington.
Day two was a top-down day as the sun that had appeared at lunchtime the previous day was still shining. They stared the day with a scenic drive to Cheddar Gorge where they spent the morning. Lunch was a leisurely affair in the garden of the Queen Victoria Pub in Priddy before heading to Wells to spend the afternoon sightseeing and sampling the local ice cream.
Day three took them north of the Mendip Hills to visit an area dominated by Blagdon and Chew Lakes which were built as reservoirs to supply Bristol. After visiting both lakes, they had an early lunch at Woodford Lodge overlooking Chew Lake before heading for home.

A trip to the Hovercraft Museum at Lee on Solent had to be postponed due to unforeseen circumstances. Watch this space for new date.
Mike and Marilyn went along to the Thames Valley Group (TVG) combined breakfast meet and really enjoyed it. The venue was lovely, very efficient and friendly with a great landlord who shook everyone’s hand as they left. The views from the garden were stunning too and the drive was good. They would definitely join TVG again and especially at that pub which was the Sir Roger Tichborne Pub, Loxwood Road, Alford Bars, Billingshurst, RH140QS.
