Hellfire Caves
Nine cars set of from Hartley Wintney in the sunshine we have come to expect this summer.
Our route eventually taking us over the river at Henley to Toad Hall Garden Centre for a comfort stop before diving down some beautiful single track roads, through the picturesque village of Turville and eventually ending up at The Walled Garden in Wycombe for coffee.
A short walk brought us to Wycombe Caves made famous by the Earl of Dashwood and his infamous Hellfire Club. A welcome 14 degrees kept us underground for quite a while before resurfacing and returning to The Walled Garden for lunch.
A visit to the mausoleum to take in the beautiful views across Buckinghamshire rounded off a very pleasurable Sunday thanks to Avis & Tim.
