Wings Aviation Museum
26 Oct 2024
After the success of Tangmere we have found somewhere else to visit. The Wings Aviation Museum is a hanger full of aviation memorabilia with the added attraction of a working Merlin engine. The engine was recovered from a downed Halifax bomber, refurbished and is run up a few times each year.
The plan is to meet up at the Esso garage on the Hog’s Back then go to the Sussex Oak in Warnham for an early lunch at 11.30 then travel to the museum at 1pm.
The reason for the early lunch is they run the engine at 2pm and lunch afterwards would be a bit late.
Entry is £12.50 or £11 if you are over 60. No need to buy tickets, just turn up on the day.

Can I bring my dog?
The pub is dog friendly. Not sure about the museum. Maybe give them a call and ask.
My name does not show on the list but my guest does.
It does now. In the box where it says ‘their names’ you only entered Barry.
