Fun & Games on the Isle of Purbeck

This will be a long weekend ( 3 nights ) exploring the Isle of Purbeck in Dorset. We have secured a special full board 3 night rate at the historic Knoll House hotel in Studland. A hotel where Enid Blyton’s repeated stays inspired her Famous Five series, Winston Churchill, King George VI and Dwight Eisenhower also stayed during WWII.
Afternoon teas on the front lawn are available.
The hotel further boasts a 9 hole pitch and putt, tennis courts, pool and sauna. There are walks along the cliffs from the hotel to Studland and Old Harry rocks.
From this base there is much to explore including Swanage, Corfe Castle, the abandoned village of Tyneham and Lulworth Cove.
Emphasis will be on relaxed exploration rather than epic driving. There will of course be an organised WFTR pitch and putt tournament sometime during the weekend.
For members of our club who are more adventurous there is a nudist beach within walking distance of the hotel!
The current cost for 3 nights B&B including an evening dinner allowance of £27.50 per person per night (from either A la Carte or Chef’s Special menus) is:
£ 762.00 per couple for a room with an inland view.
£1,062.00 per couple for a room with a sea view.
Bookings should be made with the Hotel direct mentioning the Triumph classic car club weekend. There is a 30% non refundable/non changeable deposit that will be due at booking.
Please be aware that the hotel operates a variable pricing policy which means that the above rate may change in the future. Rooms are currently available (Nov 2023) however early registration and booking is recommended.
