Canal Boat Cruise
“There is nothing – absolutely nothing – half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats”
And thanks to Ratty (aka Trisha) we did exactly that last Sunday afternoon. We ‘moles’ boarded our canal boat the John Pinkerton for a leisurely cruise along the Basingstoke Canal, looking at the abundant wildlife and enjoying the antics of paddle boarders and similar water fowl. All the while enjoying a lovely afternoon tea, again provided by Trisha. After approximately three hours we arrived back at the start and to quote Mole “our happiness was complete”
