Run to Upham
27 Jul 2024
A visit to a Man Cave and Pumping Station at Upham.
Rescheduled from 16th March owing to weather conditions.
We will congregate from 9.30am near Jane Austen’s House in Chawton, GU34 1SD, ready to leave at 10am and take a pleasant drive out to the fascinating man cave of David Kendall, diesel engineer, at Upham near Winchester SO32 1HS to arrive at about 10.30. To those who participated two years ago, Dave has acquired more toys to hang from the ceilings!
We will then proceed to his beloved WWII pumping station. Lunch will be at the Hinton Arms, Cheriton SO24 0HN at say 1.30pm and you will be able to choose from the menu on the day by CLICKING HERE
David is a genuine ‘laugh a minute’ character. Timing is unpredictable and the order of service following arrival may vary! There is no charge for the visit.
