Chatham Dockyard
7 May 2017
We are meeting at the Esso Service Station on the Hogs Back GU10 1EU at 7.45am for a prompt 8am departure to arrive at approximately 10.30am or shortly afterwards.
We will commence our journey on some ‘A’ roads before joining the M25 motorway at junction 6. We will then stop at Clacket Lane Services for a comfort break; there may be time for refreshments.
Once at the dockyard please remain in your car until Linda has made payment and collected our tickets. The gates will then be opened to allow entry for us to park within the Dockyard.
Your entry fee is needed beforehand. You can either pay at club night (3rd May) or at the Hogs Back Services before we start out, to Dave please. It will have to be cash only, so please have the right money (Dave will not have any change). Adult price is £15.50 and concession £14 (over 60). Some of you have paid £1 each as a deposit to please adjust accordingly. Add an extra £3 for a site guide book; Linda has requested these on your behalf.
The cost includes access to all the galleries and attractions during your visit. Please note Submarine tours and the Victorian Ropery is included in the price of your ticket.
The Victorian Ropery tour has been booked for 2pm.
If you would like the Submarine tour please book this yourself on arrival after parking in our designated area.
No other tours are booked; you are free to wonder and see whatever interests you.
Lunch is not booked so you can use one of the Dockyard’s facilities or bring a picnic – the choice is yours.
