Autumn Run
7 Sep 2014
Heading off in directions never before travelled by WFTR we begin our jouney at Frimley Lodge Park. From there it’s onto Brookwood, the railway children, heat rays, a gracious pond, hills of stables, a famous general and a royal reservoir. Then it’s back through Surrey to an Edwardian house for cream tea on proper plates with jam and real cream. And tea. Or coffee. Or squash. Bring your own beer.
You can bring a packed lunch or take refreshment at the Mizens Miniature Railway. Next stop will be Virginia water (£1.50 parking) where you can wave to the flowers.
The whole journey is about 40 miles along some rambling roads, up dale and down hill and a squirt home down the A325.
Venue: Frimley Lodge Park
Location: Sturt Road, Frimley, GU16 6HY (Go to map)
Cost: £1.50 (for parking) + £2.50 per person for the cream tea
