Crofton Beam Engine
in Gallery, Runs
11 Cars out in the sunshine for an epic journey westwards to the Crofton Beam Engine and Caen Locks. Great fun was had by all and nobody broke down. Which is a bonus.

At the Phoenix in Hartley Whitney. Pub wasn’t open so might as well go for a drive

Coffee break. Can’t remember the name of the pub.

Coffee. And not one word was spoken about TRs by anybody

When asked, the two dogs suggested it might be a manifold leak

Waiting for James to get going

A pretty 8 span Viaduct (according to the excellent set of directions)

The Chilterns (TR group not the hills)

Windsor Forest parked up at Crofton being directed by a man in a Dayglo jacket

Free entertainment (more fun than the mud as Glastonbury)

The Beam Engine building – well worth a visit

Ramsbury Blonde – highly recommended

Hissing and chuffing. Steam things chugging away

Two wheeled interlopers.

Left or Right? A pair of bemused cyclist’s looking on in wonderment

At the top of the Caen locks. Once the wheezing has stopped you can then walk back down again
