Weekend tour to the Lakes and Yorkshire Dales – 2026

22 - 25 May 2026

Explore some of the best roads & scenery in the UK.

22 – 25 May 2026 for the tour itself plus travel time

A similar weekend to the Wales trip in 2025 but this time visiting the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales. We will stay at the Fat Lamb pub https://www.fatlamb.co.uk/car-clubs.

There are 11 double rooms available and the price is £310 per person and includes B&B and evening meal for 3 nights.

The venue is about 300 miles away so we will have to decide how we want to get there. People can choose to make their own way, perhaps visiting friends or family on the way. Or as a group we may decide to break the journey overnight en-route.  Each car can decide for themselves what suits them best.

From their website they say: ‘Our tour planning service takes away all the hard work of organising a car tour. After discussing the type of thing and places you would like to visit, we will plan the routes for you and draw up and print off the route notes, complete with tulip diagrams and comprehensive directions. You would be booked in for any tea/coffee/lunch stops you require and also visits to any local attractions you may wish to include.

Additionally, we can also design and produce a personalised rally plate at a nominal cost of £4.00 per car, and there is even a well-equipped workshop complete with four post lift in case of any minor mechanical emergencies. Finally, wherever possible, I always try to get out on at least one day with each car club and photograph all the cars en-route at various points to provide a photographic record of your tour, over and above the usual static car park displays.’

TO BOOK – Register here on the web site.  Update 13 March 2026: There are still spaces available. Once you’ve registered here, you can call the pub to pay the deposit. Balance is due when you check out.
