Fancy pub skittles and fab food on a Friday evening? Don't know the first thing about skittles? That's fine - neither do we 🙂
This will be a very social event and is not at all competitive. We will meet at the Jolly Farmer at 6.30pm.
The cost of £13.70 per person includes as much skittle-ing as you'd like and food from the 5 options on the Fryer Baskets menu:
- Battered Cod
- Falafel & Spinach Burger (v)
- Wholetail Scampi
- Pork & Chorizo Burger
- Jacket Potato with Cheese & Baked Beans
All basket meals come with chips, apart from the Jacket Potato which is accompanied by a mixed salad.
This is just for fun and totally non-competitive (yeah right!!).
We will start with a practice round so everyone can warm up. No scores count during this round.
We will have 2 teams of around 12 players each. The 1st player for team A is followed by 1st player for team B, then it's 2nd player for team A, and so on.
Each player's turn starts with all 9 skittles standing and consists of three throws down the alley. If all 9 skittles are knocked down on the first or second throw, they are all reset. So the maximum score in one turn is twenty seven.
The first leg is complete when all players have had their turn. The team with the highest score wins the leg!
Similar to 'Killer' as played on a dart board. There are no teams in this one, it's every man or woman for themselves 🙂
Each player starts with 3 lives. The player with the lowest score from the team round goes first, the best score goes last.
The first player throws to set a score to be aimed at. The second player must beat that score or lose a life. Each subsequent player must beat the previous player's score, or they lose a life. All skittles are reset after every throw.
When a player loses their last life, they are out of the game. The last player left in the game wins!!
And finally ...
Depending on how the time goes, we can have as many team or killer competitions as we'd like.
Prize giving will be at the end of the night!
