We will meet at Hartley Wintney short stay car park, Monarchus Lane the entrance of which is opposite Deva Antiques. Arrive 9.30am for a 9.45am departure.
Enjoy a run of approx 30 miles through the countryside before getting to our destination.
A National Trust property, Nuffield Place is where the founder of the Morris Motor Company, Lord Nuffield, lived from 1933 until his death in 1963. The house is left how it was when Lord and Lady Nuffield live there. We aim to arrive at approx 11am to give a little time before going to a talk giving the background to the house and Lord Nuffield at 11.30am
We aim to leave the house at approx 1.15pm at the latest.
On route to lunch we will stop at The Maharajah's Well, an unexpected sight in the English countryside not far from Nuffield House.
Lunch is at The Cherry Tree Inn, Main Street, Stoke Row, RG9 5QA booked for 2pm.
Pre booking and numbers is essential, a copy of the menu will be sent to you.
