Fish and Chips
22 Jul 2017
We will meet at the Waitrose car park – Station Road, Alton, GU34 2PZ at 4.15pm for a 4.45pm departure.
When you enter the car park look left, if no TRs are there proceed to the first floor where you will find us. There is a coffee bar and loos inside Waitrose.
We will have a drive of about 1 hour 15 minutes down to the Hamble and will park the cars close to the Frying Fish, 21 Shore Road, Warsash, Southampton, SO31 9FS.
See above for the menu. The staff will prepare our order in advance of our arrival so please look at the menu and let Nick have your choices (nick@nigelfamily.com).
Nick’s navigator will call them on route to start the cooking before our arrival.
On getting our food there will be a very short drive to another car park from where we will walk less than 5 minutes to the beach.
At both car parks there are loos.
The beach consist of small pebbles – not sand – no complaints, remember this is England not Hawaii so do not forget to bring your chairs.
Your return is entirely in your hands.
After we have had our fish and chips and are bored of the sea there MAY BE THE POSSIBILITY to visit the Mermaid yard (featured in Howards Way). The yard is actually called the Elephant Yard and specialised in real wooden boats.
