Drive it Day

We will be meeting in the car park at Pine Ridge ready to depart at 8.30 am. We will be stopping for a break after about an hour where refreshments and breakfast, if required, will be available.
South Downs Group were tasked with arranging the venue for 2017 Drive It Day gathering of TRs from the South East Region groups. The arrangements have now been finalised.
Borde Hill has award winning formal gardens together with 200 acres of parkland, woodland and lakes to explore.
Parking is within the gardens themselves on the south lawn directly in front of the main house. Should the ground conditions be unsuitable on the day alternative parking will be available within the gardens which, whilst still on grass, is only a car length pull off from a tarmac road.
There is a café within the garden offering refreshments together with a more formal restaurant and second café adjacent to the main visitor car park just outside the garden entrance. Once the entry fee is paid there is unlimited access to/from the garden on the day.
Members of SDG will be on hand to marshal TRs arriving.
The gardens close at 6pm.
Dogs: Allowed but must be on a lead at all times.
BBQs: Not allowed, including camping cookers
Gazeebos: Allowed, though space may be at a premium.
Flags/banners: Allowed
Car of the Day: It is hoped the owners of Borde Hill judge this and present the trophy.
SDG would like to use this event to help raise money for Friends of Sussex Hospices. This is a registered charity run entirely by Volunteers to raise funds in support of the twelve hospice care providers that serve the adults and children of Sussex. It is intended to have representatives from the charity present on the day selling raffle tickets, with prizes on offer, and we hope that you will support this very worthy cause.
