We will meet at The Jolly Farmer in Blacknest Near Farnham at 9am for a 9.30am departure.
Please note there are no toilet facilities. It is suggested you use the BP service station on the dual carriageway coming through Farnham.
The run to the museum is a mix of roads, mainly back routes and single lane roads of approx. 58 miles in total. It takes about 2 hours to drive and it is hoped to arrive at the museum between 11 - 11.30am
The ethos of the museum is to encourage visitors to get involved. There are lots of interactive demonstrations and exhibits. It is a large site of some 35 acres based in a disused lime quarry. Some of the buildings are quite new, others are restored buildings of historic interest which have been relocated at the museum.
Attractions include: a narrow gauge railway, bus service, vintage car garage and workshop, fire station with vintage engines and a mock control room, plus lots and lots more.
Parking would be in the grounds on the lawn adjacent to the cafeteria. Should we wish we can bring a picnic to have next to our cars or purchase food to eat in their cafeteria.
